Building a global network that celebrates
Black philanthropy and advances
Afrocentric fundraising.
Giving Black is a global network that celebrates Black philanthropy, amplifies Afrocentric fundraising practices and connects people, ideas, and resources, strengthening communities across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, North America, and beyond.
We honour traditions of generosity while creating new opportunities for learning, collaboration, and collective action.

Our Story
In 2020, the world reached a turning point. As communities confronted long-standing racial injustice, it became clear that Black voices, Black generosity, and Black leadership deserved greater visibility, stronger connections, and lasting investment. Giving Black was born from that moment.
What began as a single conversation quickly grew into a global network. By 2023, Giving Black had convened international conferences and launched The Giving Black Podcast, creating a platform where Black philanthropy, storytelling, and community leadership could be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Today, Giving Black connects philanthropists, funders, community leaders, researchers, fundraisers, and allies from around the world. We amplify Black philanthropy, honour Afrocentric traditions of generosity, and inspire collective action to strengthen communities for generations to come.
